Color The Community - Public Art Campaign

Color the Community.PNG

This Spring, join First 1,000 Days Suncoast in a community-wide art project celebrating babies and families! We are encouraging families and community partners to create and share works of art inspired by the fundamentals of early learning. Artwork can range anywhere from sidewalk chalk doodles to finger-painting or even macaroni pictures.

  1. Create sidewalk chalk art (or preferred medium) inspired by The Basics early learning principles:

    1. Maximize love, manage stress

    2. Count, group, compare

    3. Talk, sing, and point

    4. Explore through play and movement

    5. Read and discuss stories

  2. Post photos of you and your masterpiece to social media.

Tag @First1000DaysSuncoast on Facebook and Instagram and use hashtags #First1000DaysSuncoast #ColortheCommunity

Need Inspiration?

First 1000 Days Sarasota recently commissioned two community murals in North Port and Central Sarasota based off of the magic of childhood. Each piece was designed as gateways for young families to learn about community resources available to help their children. You can check them out in person at:
